In what time period were you born? Are you a woman from the Greatest Generation, World War II Babies, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y, Millennials or something in-between? Each generation has distinctive characteristics that affect home and workplace, including finances, creativity, design, and technology. Learn the distinct characteristics of women from each generation and how we are affected by the confluence of multiple generations in the home and workplace.
The community is invited to attend Womens Education Day: Exploring the Strengths of Our Generations on Sunday, January 24, 2010, presented by the Cincinnati Chapter of Hadassah and Jewish Family Service. It will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rockwern Academy (formerly Yavneh Day School), 8401 Montgomery Road in Kenwood. Hadassah Co-Chairs are Bobbi Handwerger and Gilda Schwartz. Jewish Family Service Co-Chairs are Sandee Golden and Linda Kean.
Breakout sessions will feature four guest speakers: Glynnis Reinhart, Financial Advisor at AXA Advisors, will explain how to Take Control of Your Financial Destiny. Marion Corbin Mayer, Creative Life Coach and artist, will demonstrate Accessing Your Creativity at Every Age. Paula J. Gross, President and Principal Designer for the IDEA Group, will lead a workshop on Lifestyle Design: Home and Office Transitional Design. Amy Greenbaum, Jewish educator, will speak on Bridging Generations Through Technology. For those involved in Sunday morning religious school, please feel free to come from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. for lunch, the keynote session and one of the afternoon breakout sessions.
A registration fee of $18 includes lunch, provided by Northern Hills Synagogue Catering Service. Please RSVP by January 18th, along with your choice of a tuna salad or vegetarian lunch.
