After being a hotbutton issue on November's ballot, the streetcar project in Cincinnati is again being brought to the forefront.

City Council's budget and finance committee will meet Tuesday, with the divisive topic on the agenda.

The committee is slated to discuss an ordinance to create a new account to fund planning, design, construction and other activities associated with the streetcar.

There is also potential at the meeting to vote on the ordinance, which would put around $3.5 million into this account. The meeting had originally been scheduled for Monday, but was pushed back less than two hours before the meeting to Tuesday, January 12, at 3 pm.

Blogs, articles and radio hosts have been weighing in on both sides of the issue; Many people will be fervently awaiting the outcome of Tuesday's meeting. To find out more about the issue, go to http://www.cincystreetcar.com.
