David’s Voice is an electronic magazine geared towards the young and young-at-heart Jews of Cincinnati.  It aims to be the platform to share, experience, and interact with cutting edge and positive people and happenings in the Cincinnati Jewish community. Launched in February 2007, the mission of David’s Voice is two-fold:

·         To reveal a refreshing view of Cincinnati’s Jewish community, its people and happenings, through useful, thought-provoking and entertaining content. 

·         To offer a casual and inviting interactive platform for young adults to share their voice and connect with each other to nurture Jewish identity.

A key component to David’s Voice is the biweekly “e-zine” (or magazine email) that highlights new feature stories, community voices, and website content.  Sign up now to get these in your inbox every two weeks!

Michael graduated from DePaul University in Chicago in 2009 with a degree in marketing and advertising.  He is also a music lover and plays frequently around town with his group, The Pinstripes.  His other interests include sports, the outdoors and cooking.

I want to be a writer in the Community Voices section of davidsvoice.org. How do I do that?

The Community Voices section of David’s Voice is a comprised of the “voices” of the Cincinnati Jewish community’s young adult population. Each “voices” writer is given freedom to reflect or kvetch about the Cincinnati Jewish community, their Judaism or just about anything that’s going on in their lives.

If you are a young adult and want to write for the Community Voices section of David’s Voice, please contact msarason@jfedcin.org with some ideas. Community Voices articles are published as soon as we receive them and are generally 500-750 words in length. You can publish under a pen name.

I want to write features for davidsvoice.org. How do I do that?

If you’re interested in writing for David’s Voice, please contact msarason@jfedcin.org. We accept pitches year-round, though many of our ideas are preconceived by the editors. We are always in search of excellent writers! Please see our archive section for examples of previous articles. If you are interested, you can inquire with the editor about our rates for feature articles.

Our website is mostly young adult written and is published monthly. Articles are generally 500-750 words. Articles are due no later than the first Wednesday of the month prior to publication (e.g. articles for May are due April 1).
