Featured Voice: Micah Kamesar
10/11/2010

This is the third of our featured writers series, in which we shine light on our wonderful writers. For this particluar article, Micah chose to approach these questions very seriously, as you can tell...right. To check out the first article, featuring the lovely and talented Alison Moss, click here! Our second feature was on none other than Miss Rachel Rothstein, read that here.

What are your favorite neighborhoods in Cincinnati?

It's a tie between the West side and Batavia. (editors note: like I said, very serious)

Say you’ve been away from Cincinnati for several months, possibly even years. What is the first thing you look to do when you get back?

As cliche as it is, I would say going to Skyline.

Best Bagel in town?

My loyalties lie with the Bagel man (Marx's Bagels for those not familiar) and the Everything Bagel.

If you are mayor of Cincinnati for one day you would…

Somehow strip Mike Brown of his ownership of the Bengals and ban him from Cincinnati.

Name one thing about Cincinnati that other people might not know:

The original name for Cincinnati is Losantiville.

Name your favorite famous Jew:

I have to go with Sasha Baron Cohen. Respek.

The guiltiest your parents ever made you feel growing up was when…

Either breaking a window for the 5th time or putting a hole through the dry wall for the 4th time...

Your best friend from Romania is coming to visit Cincinnati, where do you take them?

It's a proven fact that Romanians love roller coasters, so first we're going to Kings Island. Thats the first part of the weekend. Then I think I take them to the Montgomery Inn Boat House, make them order ribs, followed by a trip to a Reds game. Then I probably take them to the new casino in Cincinnati because its been built by then. It is also a proven fact that Romanians are amazing at Bacarat, so I win a lot of money too.

What is your favorite park in Cincinnati?

Either Eden Park or Chamberlain Park in Deer Park (Too many good memories there playing soccer as a kid)

The last time the Cincinnati Reds went to the playoffs (in 1995) I was …

8 years old and didn't care about baseball, unfortunately.

If I could only eat one Jewish food for the rest of my life it would be…

Too easy. I'm going with Brisket Sandwiches, all day.

Going to the Kenwood Towne Centre makes me…

Crave a Chick Fil a chicken sandwich...and some waffle fries. For FREE (because I used to work there).

The thing I’m most excited to do in town in the next few months is…

1. Go sledding at the Gibson cards hill, or hole #17(I think it is?) at the old crest hills country club.

2. Eat at the Silver Spring House and The Senate in OTR
